After having created several businesses, Mr. Alain Aubut focused on supporting and accompanying entrepreneurs. As vice-president and president of two major organizations dedicated to the economic development of Québec, the Fondation de l’entrepreneurship and the Chambre de commerce et d’industrie de Québec, he has carried out several projects to stimulate the entrepreneurial culture in Québec by mobilizing entrepreneurs and socio-economic actors.
A committed entrepreneur, particularly in the information technology industry, Mr. Aubut has carried out consulting mandates for dozens of Canadian and foreign companies, in Europe and French-speaking Africa, as well as for organizations such as the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and the World Bank. He has been and still is a member of several boards of directors and advisory committees. Finally, he was named Personality of the Year in 2011 by the Réseau Action TI, a tribute to people who have left their mark on the technology industry in Québec, and then he was named Person of Influence by Québec City Business Destination, in 2016. In May 2017, he was awarded the Chevalier de l’ordre national du mérite for promoting relations between France and Québec.
