The Québec City Convention Centre made the right choice in turning to research professors at the Université Laval Faculty of Science and Engineering to help bring more events to Québec City. Exciting scientific developments within the Faculty are attracting international conventions in innovative sectors.
The partnership agreement with Université Laval provides attractive incentives, such as contributions to university research funds. In 2018 more than $33,000 was paid out for conferences organized by research professors. Two Convention Centre Sales Managers have forged a special relationship with the Faculty. Marie-Elaine Lemieux and Jocelyn Guertin work closely with professors who are ready to help organize events and to make their project a reality.
It is thanks to these Faculty of Science and Engineering ambassadors that the following 7 international events will soon be coming to Québec City. These events will generate close to $4M in economic impact for the Québec region.
