Business is booming at the Québec City Convention Centre, the largest convention and meeting space in the Québec City area. In 2017–2018, the Convention Centre hosted an impressive total of 170 events, including 56 conferences, 18 of them international. These events generated substantial economic impact for Québec, to the tune of $101 million, a 10% increase over the previous year. More than 205,000 conference-goers converged in the region and enjoyed the stellar services of the Québec City Convention Centre, with overall satisfaction rates topping 97%.

Québec City’s reputation as an exceptional conference destination, the quality of our services and the guest experience, and our knowledgeable, experienced staff all play a part in these positive results. I would also like to thank our ambassadors, who have invested their time and energy to bring international events to Québec City,” says Québec City Convention Centre president and CEO Pierre-Michel Bouchard. “The work continues and our people are doing their all to make every event a success. The next few years promise to be very exciting as well, with 187 events already confirmed on the calendar between now and 2022,” he adds.
Québec City, a conference destination with international appeal
Québec City ranks 4th in Canada for the number of international events held, according to the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), right behind its bigger siblings Montréal, Toronto, and Vancouver. The Québec City Convention Centre plays a major role in that enviable position. As an industry leader in sustainability and quality standards, the Québec City Convention Centre is also the first Canadian convention centre to offer its delegates, exhibitors, and guests free high‑speed wireless Internet access with unlimited data transfer.
