For a second year in a row, Québec City Convention Centre account executives Marie-Elaine Lemieux and Jocelyn Guertin were invited by the Université Laval Faculty of Science and Engineering to sit on the jury of the scientific popularization contest, “My Thesis in 180 Seconds.”
This faculty competition took place on March 4, 2016, providing master students, doctoral students and postdoctoral interns with an opportunity to hone their communication and popularization skills. The competitors had exactly three minutes to present the subject of their research in simple terms to a diversified audience.
The jury selected biology doctoral student Émilie Champagne. She will represent the Faculty at the university finals on March 30. The overall winner for the university will then represent Laval at the national finals at the 84th ACFAS Congress, May 11, 2016, at UQAM (Université du Québec à Montréal).
