The Québec City Convention Centre significantly reduces its GHG emissions

Sustainability

As part of the Building Energy Challenge, the Québec City Convention Centre won the Platinum category of the GHG Target Achievement Award, a significant distinction that represents a reduction of between 20 and 50% of the building’s greenhouse gas emissions over a four-year period.

From 2018 to 2021, the Québec City Convention Centre proudly participated in the first edition of this friendly competition launched by BOMA Québec. Focusing on improving energy efficiency, it brought together 214 commercial buildings in Québec.

The Building Energy Challenge has always reflected the values of the Québec City Convention Centre and its desire to use energy more efficiently. Thanks to the many initiatives implemented over the past four years by the Building Management team and its partner Opsis gestion d’infrastructures, we have been able to count ourselves among the winners in June 2022 and be qualified as a “proud energy efficiency leader.”
