With the arrival of September, the event season officially reopens at the Québec City Convention Centre, bustling with conferences, meetings, exhibitions and conventions. Fall season 2024 is expected to generate over $34.4 million in economic spin-offs for the Québec City region.
A total of 72 events are scheduled for the fall season, including 9 Canadian conventions and 3 international conventions, 2 of which are being held in Québec City for the first time. These 12 conventions alone will attract over 7,200 participants from around the world, and generate over $11 million in economic spin-offs.
“2023 was a record-breaking year, both for our event revenues and for the economic spin-offs generated for Québec City. We’re particularly proud of this success, and we’re looking forward to a remarkable 2024, with promising prospects for the Convention Centre and for the economy of the greater Québec City region,” says Caroline Lepage, President and CEO of the Québec City Convention Centre.
