The Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives (CESSE) met in Québec City October 24 to 26 to plan the ACCESSE17 conference, to be held in Québec City in July 2017, generates many scientific conventions for the area. It met in Québec City.
Some 500 leaders of CESSE member scientific societies, all decision-makers and influencers in their organizations, will be meeting at the Québec City Convention Centre July 25 to 27, 2017, to discuss issues facing their members.
In fall 2014 Québec was chosen from among 18 cities in the U.S. and Canada as the venue for ACCESSE17. With the big day approaching, the Convention Centre and Québec City Business Destination invited CESSE board and program committee members to hold their preparatory meeting in Québec City—a great way to learn about the destination and everything it offers.
Regional resources also got involved. Québec International, a regional economic development agency that fosters business growth and development, discussed the key industries that make Québec City’s economy so vibrant during a presentation at Québec by Julie Carrier, Director – Foreign Investment.
Three days in Québec City
While staying at the Hilton Québec, CESSE leaders had an opportunity to enjoy Québec City’s charm despite their hectic schedule. Their visit included a city tour and dinner at La Bûche, specializing in Québec cuisine, with a performance by a Painchaud Family violinist, guitar player, and singer. They also got to have fun and pump up their meeting on Smoothie and Spin’N Pop bikes courtesy of Cœur à l’ouvrage.
The two intense days in Québec City gave guests a preview of the exceptional experience in store for participants at ACCESSE17 next summer.
