14 event organizers visiting Québec City

Events

There’s no better way to get to know a destination—and everything it has to offer for a convention—than to invite potential clients to experience Québec City firsthand for a few days. This wooing strategy adopted by Québec City Business Destination is scoring points with professional convention planners in Canada.

From February 3 to 5, 14 representatives from Canadian organizations and businesses (a record-breaking 13 of whom were women) accepted  Québec City Business Destination's invitation to experience Québec City’s many attractions against the festive backdrop of the winter carnival.

To break the ice, as it were, the Québec City Convention Centre welcomed our event planners for an evening of enjoyment, networking, and fine dining. They played pétanque in the middle of winter in a converted conference room, sampled refined dishes artfully prepared by Chef Gérard Michel and his kitchen brigade, and learned a lot about Québec City in the process—in short, a memorable start to an extraordinary visit.

The days that followed were just as action packed. Québec City Business Destination concocted a stellar program complete with tours of hotels, convention sites, and distinctive attractions, as well as plenty of free time for our guests to explore the city on their own.

In addition to getting to stay at Hôtel Manoir Victoria, in the heart of Old Québec, our guests enjoyed visits to other hotels such as Fairmont Le Château FrontenacHôtel Château Laurier QuébecHôtel Delta QuébecHilton QuébecHôtel Le Concorde Québec, and Le Bonne Entente. The tours of Musée national des beaux-arts and the Ice Hotel were also a big hit.

And to end things off in style, our guests were treated to a reception at Hôtel Le Concorde’s Ciel! Bistro-Bar, the revolving tower-top restaurant with breathtaking views of Québec City!
