In the running to host the 2021 International Federation of Magic Societies’ (FISM) World Championships of Magic, Québec City is currently playing host to 10 presidents of international magic societies from various countries (Italy, Belgium, United States, Germany, France and Japan).
These decision-makers can influence the ultimate vote at the FISM World Magic Championship in Busan, South Korea, on July 10, 2018. It is at this time that we will know which location—Québec City or Spain—will host the 2021 edition of this major event, which is also known as the Olympics of magic.
Québec City Business Destination and the Québec City Convention Centre, in collaboration with the Club de magie du Québec, have brought together some of the best magicians they have to dazzle and delight these important influencers—and tip the balance in favour of Québec City, a magical destination. It would be a North American first!
If Québec City wins the bid, more than 2,500 magicians and magic enthusiasts from around the world would travel to the city for seven days of magic competitions, conferences and workshops.
A milestone has already been achieved as Québec City was selected for the FISM North American Qualifiers in May 2020.
The work on the bid started in 2014, with the help of Mr. Jocelyn Guertin, Account Executive for International Markets at the Québec City Convention Centre.

In June 2024, the Québec City Convention Centre welcomes the 19th edition of the Network Science Society's international conference: NetSci 2024.
The Québec City Convention Centre is pleased to introduce a brand-new tool for event planners: a sustainability performance report.
